    Mr. Paul Spencer Adkins, winner in the first Luciano Pavarotti International Voice Competition, as well as the Philadelphia and Princeton Metropolitan Opera auditions, will be visiting Franklin High School during the week of February 17.Mr. Adkins will be conducting vocal master classes and coaching students currently enrolled in the Advanced Voice classes.He will be speaking about training, auditioning, and performing skills that are required in the professional arena of the arts.

    Mr. Adkins has performed with a number of opera companies, including the Greater Miami Opera, the Opera Company of Philadelphia, Pittsburgh Opera, Chicago Opera Theater, Tulsa Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Opera Delaware, Orlando Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Virginia Opera, Cleveland Opera, Sarasota Opera, Lake George Opera, Opera Columbus, and the touring company of Sarah Caldwell's Opera Company of Boston.

    His performances are extraordinary and known worldwide.He is a senior lecturer for the University of the Arts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Roland Hayes."In addition to his operatic performances, symphonic engagements, and TV work, Mr. Adkins is currently on the faculty of the University of the Arts, in Philadelphia.

    First Congregational Church's Minister of Music, Edwin R. Taylor, who has collaborated with Mr. Adkins in several voice recitals since the two met in the early 1980's, will accompany Mr. Adkins.
