FORT WASHINGTON, Md. -- Mr. Willie Lee Adams, 80, of 9009 School Way and formerly of Roanoke Rapids, died Saturday, July 26, 2003, at Southern Maryland Hospital Center in Clinton, Md.

Mr. Adams was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Halifax County, the oldest son of William and Emmaline Adams.In 1945, he was united in holy matrimony to the former Mamie Epps, who preceded him in death.Their union lasted for 45 years and God blessed them with one daughter.

He retired from Halifax Paper and Board Company and also owned and operated Adams Grocery Store in the Thelma Community of Roanoke Rapids.He had a quiet disposition and loved working in his garden.He loved his family and had a close bond with all of his brothers.
