Frank Adams - Associate Consultant and Instructor
With wide-ranging business experience in addition to experience as an educator in academia and professional development, Dr. A. Frank Adams, III is uniquely qualified to conduct AMT's courses.His business experience includes working in a privately held business for 10 years with several years serving as CFO.Furthermore, Dr. Adams has provided consulting services focused on valuation issues, succession planning, and corporate governance in privately held companies.Most recently, he has served as an expert witness utilizing his financial and statistical skills in various litigation cases, including those that involve business damages.
In 2000 Dr. Adams, joined the Michael J. Coles College of Business as a member of the graduate faculty teaching economics and finance in Kennesaw State University's Executive MBA Programs.On July 1, 2004, he joined the faculty in the Department of Management and Entrepreneurship and was appointed as the first holder of the Aronoff Professorship in Family Business in the Cox Family Enterprise Center at the Coles College.Additionally, Dr. Adams is the Director of Research for the Cox Family Enterprise Center, overseeing the Center's newest research program in family business finance.
Widely published, Professor Adams' research efforts have focused on the economics of regulation, valuation and family business finance.Refereed publication venues include the Review of Industrial Organization, Contemporary Economic Policy, Journal of Labor Research, Atlantic Economic Journal, Southern Economic Journal, Journal of Forensic Economics and Family Business Review.
Dr. Adams has received numerous recognitions and awards for his teaching and research.In 2002 he was recognized by the Coles College of Business for his research and received the Outstanding Scholar Award.An instructor for the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA) since 2001, he has taught economics and statistics in their Certified Forensic Financial Analyst (CFFA) program and has been recognized, in 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004 as an Instructor of Exceptional and/or Great Distinction.In addition, he served on NACVA's Executive Advisory Board from 2004 to 2005 and presently serves on their Valuation Education & Credentialing Board.
