Radmila Abram is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Registered Art Therapist, Reiki, Quantum Touch, and Way of the Heart Practitioner.She earned her Master of Art's degree at the University of Illinois in Chicago in 1998.Radmila has provided services for groups and individuals of all ages and needs in different settings such as hospitals, schools and a day care center for older adults.Her areas of interest are clients who are diagnosed with depression, anxiety, autism, eating disorders, as well as clients who are experiencing recent, past trauma, and life altering events.Radmila has presented papers at both the national and state level, and has conducted workshops at various organizations.She currently works as an expressive therapist at Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates.
In both individual and group settings, Radmila assists her clients to identify existing needs while supporting and guiding the clients' personal processes of mind, body, heart and spirit integration through art.An image is a starting point for further exploration of emotions, experiences and memories through creative writing and verbalization.This process allows clients and the therapist to identify learned and perceived patterns that are blocking cognitive and behavioral change.The client is educated on how to apply different techniques to reach intended goals.Radmila strongly believes in creating a trusting, therapeutic relationship in a safe environment and using only techniques that promote personal growth and transformation.
