"We could have chosen a project for them to do for UI, but this is more real world, better hands-on experience," said Nancy Abram, who is leading the class as an adjunct instructor."It is really more of a hands-on opportunity to get training for what most of them will do in the real world."
Abram, who also holds a full-time position as the marketing and design manager at the Iowa Memorial Union on campus, said it is a win-win for both the students and the company.
"There is a real gap there.You can see there is a difference in where the product is headed and what 18-24 year-olds are into," Abram said.
