He represents commercial banks, investment banks, and other investors in real estate debt and equity transactions.

Prior to joining Cadwalader, Mr. Ableman was an associate in the corporate department at Goodmans LLP in Toronto.

Mr. Ableman received his LL.B. from Queen's University Faculty of Law and a B.S. from Indiana University, Bloomington.

Mark specializes in the areas of corporate law, mergers and acquisitions and securities law.He also has an interest in sports and entertainment law.

Upon his call to the Bar, Mark was awarded with the Osgoode Society for Canadian Legal History Prize for attaining one of the twenty-five highest grades in the Bar Admission Course and the Stuart Thom Prize for the highest grade in Business Law.He completed his LL.B. at Queen's University where he was awarded prizes in Criminal Law and Copyright Law.He received his B.S. from Indiana University where he was the recipient of a tennis scholarship.

Mark joined the firm in 2000 as a summer student, articled in 2001-2002, and became an associate in 2002.
