Ahmed is a Somali national and has just finished his bachelor in Electrical Engineering student. His interest in Africa Awareness started since it began two year ago. He got involved through World University Service of Canada (WUSC-UBC) of which he is a member. He loves the central theme of Africa Awareness--to raise the profile of Africa in UBC and educate our fellow students about our rich cultural heritage. Ahmed hopes to volunteer more time into Africa Awareness this year. He presently works as a undergraduate research assistant in the Oceanography Department at UBC. -
