   Hester Abbuhl, The Scribe - Abbuhl is being recognized for her commitment to economic development in McCormick County. While responsible for the marketing and public relations at the McCormick Chamber of Commerce, she wrote, published and printed a Handbook on McCormick County. She has also worked with the S.C. Department of Commerce and the Upper Savannah Council of Governments and served a three-year term on the S.C. National Heritage Corridor Board to develop stops and sites along the Freshwater Coast. Abbuhl also served as the Chairperson of the Task Force on Economic Development for McCormick County as it developed a strategic plan. Currently, she oversees the services of V.R. McConnell and Associates at the Economic Development Advancement Commission.
