   Patricia Abbott, CMC, has been has been accepted as a member in the prestigious Master Municipal Clerk Academy program of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks (IIMC).
   
   She has been employed with the town of Munster since May 1995, where she served in the positions of deputy clerk II and III before being appointed to her current position as accounting supervisor in January 2000.
   
   In order to become a member of the Academy, she first attained the designation as Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) in April 1999 through completion of the IIMC-approved Municipal Clerks Institute program through Ball State University's School of Continuing Education and Public Service.
   
   She has completed in-depth courses in managerial and leadership skills, social and interpersonal concerns, and technical training. She received her Certified Municipal Clerk (CMC) designation in March 2001 by earning a Bachelor of Arts Degree and fulfilling the IIMC CMC criteria.
   
   She has been a member of the International Institute of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers since April 1998, and is a member of the Indiana League of Municipal Clerks and Treasurers, the Indiana Association of Cities and Towns and the Association of Public Treasurers of the U.S. and Canada.
