   Luke Abbott will be giving a Mantle of the Expert masterclass in the lecture theatre at Norwich Castle Museum on 29th March from 10.30 , 4.30pm. For the first part of the day he will be working with a class of Year 3 children from Avenue First School, Norwich as a film company researching Ancient Egypt. The class will be working with Egyptologists from the Norfolk Museum Service using authentic artefacts from the museum's collection.
   
   After the lesson there will be a teacher workshop with opportunities to discuss MoE with Luke & other teacher-practitioners.

   Luke Abbott appointed Special Projects Senior Adviser for MoE
   
   From September 2006 Luke Abbott will be working as a Special Projects Senior Adviser (Mantle of the Expert) for Essex LA. His work will focus on enabling and training schools to use the system throughout Essex, Eastern England and in the UK. He will be able to work on commissions and is building on the newly established networks with Tim Taylor and Duncan Bathgate. The project is expected to last the year with the potential to increase over the following years as the system becomes explored more in schools. Huge interest is being generated at universities for Masters modules as well as school based INSET and CPD. Luke will now be able to dedicate his time to supporting these exciting developments.
