   Philip joined the firm in 2005, after completing his articles, to practice in the areas of professional regulation and discipline, criminal law and labour law.
   
   Philip received a joint LLB and MA in International Relations from the University of Toronto in 2004, and holds a BA in Philosophy and Politics from the University of Guelph. During law school, Philip volunteered at Downtown Legal Services representing low-income clients on summary conviction offences. His advocacy experience includes several years of inter-varsity debating, and a victory in the intra-varsity Frank Callaghan Memorial Moot on criminal and constitutional law.
   
   Philip has a strong interest in international trade and policy matters, and their impact on the labour movement and labour rights. This interest led Philip to an internship at the International Labour Office in Geneva during law school.
   
   Recently Philip was closely involved in the representation of the Ontario Nurses' Association in the coroner's inquest relating to the Casa Verde Long Term Care Facility, which resulted in 85 recommendations regarding changes to Long Term Care in Ontario.
   
   Philip is currently a member of the Criminal Lawyers Association, the Canadian Bar Association, the Ontario Bar Association and the Canadian Association of Labour Lawyers.
