Dr. Syed Aun Abbas, Member Board of Directors
Dr. Abbas brings 15 years of experience in the semiconductor and telecom industry and academia.He has worked for Centillium Communications in Fremont CA, USA, Nortel Networks in Ottawa, Canada, and UET Lahore.At Centillium, as a manger strategic planning and advanced R & D, he was responsible for DSL and VoIP chip architecture and design definition.At Nortel, he was part of the team involved in the development of the high speed Internet Access products.To his credit are more than hundred (100) technical contributions in ITU-T, IEEE, ANSI, ETSI, ATM Form and DSL Forum, and numerous research publications in industry journals and conference proceedings.Lately, he has been involved in the development of High Speed Access Modems over wireless medium and design of DSL and VoIP services networks.Dr. Abbas holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Carleton University, Ottawa, Canada, and a B.S in Electrical Engineering from UET Lahore.He has seven (7) US and International patent applications pending.
