    Carol Abaya, M.A., currently writes a weekly nationally syndicated newspaper column called The Sandwich Generation. In 1992, Carol Abaya founded and began publishing The Sandwich Generation: You & Your Aging Parents, a unique magazine dealing with elder care, aging and role reversal issues. The recipient of numerous awards for the magazine and for her work in the aging issues field, Carol Abaya is also president of her own public relations and marketing firm.

    Carol's past experience includes handling marketing and public relations for one of the first assisted living facilities in New Jersey. At that time, she also worked with six other multi-level care facilities.

    Carol Abaya has an M.A. in International Relations from New York University and a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin. She also has CEUs in Gerontology. She has been a guest lecturer at Rutgers University School of Social Work and Brookdale Community College, and is also an instructor at Brookdale.
