Amanda Abate

Amanda Abate, Director of Development

Amanda Abate began her tenure as Director of Development with CHIP in September 2004.She comes to the organization with a variety of experience - most recently from Caring Congregations, Inc. - a parish nurse and health ministry.Her experience in development ranges from The Salvation Army to the Richmond Kickers.Amanda came on board to help strengthen the development program and build a solid annual fund.Her duties include grant writing, corporate solicitation and individual donor cultivation.

Amanda received a B. A. from the University of Richmond and has been working in the nonprofit community since 1998.In her spare time Amanda enjoys running, reading and serving as slave and master to her English Springer Spaniel Rosemary.
