   Lloyd Aasen graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1972, and with a Master of Business Administration (corporate finance and security analysis) in 1974. He studied Law at the University of British Columbia and graduated in 1977. He was admitted to the British Columbia Bar in 1978 and became a partner of Lando & Company LLP in 1983.
   
   For over 20 years Mr. Aasen has concentrated his legal practice in real estate law (acquisitions, development and financing), security realization (commercial and residential foreclosures), corporations law, and wills and estates.
   
   Mr. Aasen is a past director of Glacier National Life Assurance Company and an active member in various subsections of the British Columbia branch of the Canadian Bar Association including the Real Property and Corporate Counsel subsections. He has also participated as an instructor/guest lecturer for Continuing Legal Education and the Canadian Bar Association, and is a member of the advising committee to the Judicial Council regarding Provincial Court appointments.
   
   Mr. Aasen has appeared as counsel in the British Columbia Supreme Court and the British Columbia Court of Appeal.
