NEW PRAGUE, Minn. - September 15, 2005 - Bruce A. Wolf, President of the State Bank of New Prague, announces the election of Greg C. Aase to the position of Senior Vice President.

A graduate of New Prague High School, Aase attended the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota and received a Bachelor of Science degree with a concentration in Banking and Finance. He began his career employed at the Minnesota Bankers Association and in June of 1990 became a bank examiner for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. In 1996, he joined Village Bank in St. Francis, Mn. as branch manager. He was promoted to Senior Vice President of Operations in 1999. In 2002, he returned to New Prague and joined Community Security Bank as Vice President of Operations.
Aase was one of the original Board members of Generations Theatre Company, and has served as its Chairman and Treasurer since 2003. He was elected to the New Prague Chamber of Commerce's Board of Directors in 2003, and is currently it's Vice President/President Elect. He is an active member of the New Prague Arts Council. He has participated in a number of community activities since returning to New Prague including coaching various youth softball and soccer teams.
Greg and his wife, Anita, are natives of New Prague and enjoy living in their hometown. Their two children, Allison and Madeline, currently attend St. Wenceslaus School. Anita is an office manager for Clausen, Schoenbauer, Seurer & Webb Ltd. and is the current Chairperson of the St. Wenceslaus School Board.

Aase will be the vice president of operations and bank cashier at Community Security Bank. Aase graduated from New Prague High School in 1984 and attended the University of Minnesota, graduating with a B.S. in business administration from the Carlson School of Management in 1988.
He joined the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation as a bank examiner in the Minneapolis field office, where he worked until 1996. He then joined Village Bank in St. Francis, holding a variety of positions as the bank saw extensive growth during that time. Most recently, he was senior vice president of operations.
