B. Michael Aarons

Michael is a native of Birmingham, Alabama and a 1965 graduate of The University of Alabama with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, He received his masters in Business Administration in 1970 from Georgia State University and earned his CPA Certification in 1973.Prior to forming Aarons Grant in 1975 with Adrian Grant, (which became Aarons Grant and Habif, P.C. in 1980) Michael served as an internal auditor for the city of Atlanta in the finance department, as Chief Financial officer of Friedland Properties, and as an auditor with the national firm Touche Ross & Company.

Michael is a veteran of the United States Army and the recipient of the Army Commendation Medal, and the Vietnam Service medal.

Michael is very active within his local community, serving as treasurer at Temple Emanu-El, and vice-president of the Temple Emanu-El Men's Club.He has served on various committees with the Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the Georgia Society of CPA's, the Georgia Society of CPA's Real Estate Group, and the American Institute of CPA's.He has also been honored to speak as a special lecturer at Georgia State University, Georgia Institute of Technology and Emory University.Michael and his wife Carol have four children; Jill, Lisa, Adam and Kevin.
