   Ms Tahera Aanchawan Tahera has considerable experience of health and social care policy and of working with the voluntary sector. From 1992 to 1998 she managed SHARE, a national information project on health and race at the King's Fund.
   
   She works as a freelance consultant focusing on inequalities, human rights, and organisational management development and user involvement. She is a Trustee of the Pastoral and Environmental Network for the Horn of Africa and of the Afiya Trust and the Diana, Princess of Wales Memorial Trust. She is the chair of Naz Project London, a London wide organisation providing support to black and minority ethnic and migrant communities living with HIV and Aids. She is also the Chair of Transform Africa an organisation that works in partnership with NGOs in seven countries in Africa.
