They moved to Moorhead, where Mrs. Aamoth worked as postmaster at Concordia College until retiring in 1981. Mr. Aamoth died on May 25, 1972, and–upon retiring–Mrs. Aamoth moved to Faith and lived at Mahnomen during the winter months. She had been a resident of the Mahnomen nursing facility for the past month. A lifelong member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church and the St. Olaf Ladies Aid, she also taught Sunday School and held several church offices. She enjoyed nature, quilting and gardening. Surviving are a son–Norm Aamoth, Mahnomen, and a sister–Ragna Restad, Halstad. There are several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Aamoth also was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers (Joe and Clarence). Visitation : Wednesday, Sept. 14, 5, DATE : [ 09/14/1905 ] Burnside Funeral Home in Mahnmen, with a prayer service at 7. Also one hour prior to funeral on Thursday at St. Olaf's Lutheran Church.
