On June 14, All Chicago: Emergency Fund and Chicago Alliance presented Denis Pierce with the Norman H. Stone Award, given to an individual who has made significant impact in business and philanthropy.

with the Impact Award at the organization's annual Milliken Reception on July 27, 2012.
Upon presenting the award, MLUI Executive Director Hans Voss said, "Denis came to us in 2012 with one question: 'What do you need to be a more effective organization?' In the years since, his efforts to help us answer that basic but essential question demonstrated his commitment to help MLUI over the long haul.
