Zschech sang jingles for a number of international companies including McDonald's, KFC and Coca Cola, until she eventually joined the staff of Hillsong Church after penning "Shout to the Lord".
She released a vinyl album in 1987 called "Make the Choice" and a cassette album in 1993 called Pearls & Gold. In 2003, Zschech released her first official solo album, Kiss of Heaven. Change Your World followed in 2005. She has since released two albums, in 2011, called Simply Darleneand You Are Love. In addition to writing songs, she has written five books: Worship (1996), Extravagant Worship (2002), The Kiss of Heaven (2003), The Great Generational Transition (2009) and Revealing Jesus: A 365-Day Devotional (2013). On 11 December 2013, Zschech was diagnosed with breast cancer. In a blog dated 30 November 2014, she wrote that she has been healed of cancer, which her doctor termed "quite miraculous". Although she has achieved numerous gold albums and her songs are sung in many nations of the world. Darlenes success simply stands as a testimony to her lifes passion for serving God and people with all her heart. Alongside her husband Mark, they are the Senior Pastors of Hope Unlimited Church (HopeUC) on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Many years ago Mark and Darlene made a life commitment to do whatever they could to bring answer and relief to human suffering. It was during a Compassion trip to Central Africa in 2004 that Mark and Darlene were prompted to initiate Hope: Rwanda.

History - HOPE Global

www.hoperwanda.org [cached]

In April 2004 while Pastors Mark and Darlene Zschech and their family were on a mission's trip to Africa, they learned the horrific recent history of the genocide in 1994 and current situation of the beautiful country of Rwanda and its people.
With this knowledge Mark and Darlene found it impossible to be passive about helping their Rwandan brothers and sisters. In response Mark and Darlene launched 'Hope Rwanda: 100 Days of Hope', a global effort designed to bring hope to a nation seemingly forgotten by the world since the horrific genocide of 1994. In 2014, Mark Zschech and a team of 30 international volunteers joined Rwandans for the first ever Rwandan Walk of Hope, to mark 20 years since the Rwandan genocide, and 10 years since Mark & Darlene had first visited Rwanda.

Mark Zschech and Darlene Zschech founded HOPE: Global, as the '100 Days of Hope in Rwanda'.
Since that time, Mark has lead the organisation as CEO and chairperson of the board to where it is today.

Rwanda: 20 Years On

From office discussions and imagining about what would 2014 look like, to the reality that tomorrow, a team of 19 volunteers from Australia, South African and Canada, to be followed by a further 7 volunteers currently in Uganda as well as HOPE: Global's founder Mark Zschech, will board a plane to Rwanda for a trip that will never be forgotten.
Our Story For HOPE: Global, 2014 marks 10 years since Mark and Darlene Zschech first visited Rwanda and first answered the call to serve their Rwandan brothers and sisters, beginning with the '100 Days of Hope' in 2006.
