Collin County prosecutor Zeke Fortenberry told a judge during a hearing Friday that he received a supplemental report by the Texas Department of Public Safety lab on Wednesday about hairs recovered from the debris of a shop vacuum.
notified the defense for Enrique Arochi on Thursday about the plan to test the hairs.
said police plan to send the hairs to a University of North Texas lab by Monday for DNA testing.
If the hairs are viable for DNA testing, results from the lab will take about 12 weeks, Fortenberry
told the judge that Arochi has made hundreds of calls, some of them in Spanish, and that the jail recordings are still being translated and reviewed.
