...In 1991, Zain joined the audit practice of Deloitte & Touche LLP (Deloitte), one of the nation's leading professional services firms.
In August of 2003, she
was admitted into the firm's partnership, which makes her
one of the only current practicing African-American female audit partners of a "Big Four" public accounting firm on the West Coast.She serves as an audit partner on some of the firm's largest healthcare clients and is the Regional Diversity and Inclusion Leader for the Northern California~Pacific Northwest Region.Outside of her professional commitments, Zain has a history of community involvement and actively serves as a role model and mentor.She also served as a board director on the National Board of the National Association of Black Accountants, Inc. (2004 - 2007) and has been a member since chartering the student chapter at UC Berkeley in 1988.Zain is also a board member of the Accounting Career Awareness Program (ACAP) and serves on the audit committee for the Girl Scouts of America, San Francisco Bay Area Council.She is also the immediate past President of Berkeley Bay Area Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a public service organization that provides various community outreach programs.
