Rev. Dr. Yvonne Conner
East Ohio Conference of The United Methodist Church East Ohio Conference - Inform, inspire & in touch. Rev. Dr. V. Yvonne Conner Rev. Dr. V. Yvonne Conner serves in full time ministry with the North Coast District where she is pastor of Broadway UMC and District Associate. Like all appointments, this ministry must be kept fresh and relevant. This means cultivating relationships across diverse socio-economic levels of their mission field to participate in meaningful disciple-making and promote decisive leadership in response to God's call to serve. Conner believes that facilitating 141 SOW sessions is an important step toward re-igniting the basic theology of the United Methodist Church. Conner brings classroom and workshop ministry skills to 141 SOW that have been strengthened by a Master of Divinity from MTSO with a minor in Christian Education. Her leadership work in the UM church comes after having spent a number of years in corporate America as a Research and Development Senior Project Leader; a Donor Relations Officer at a Community Foundation and an Executive Director of a Training Institute. Her ministry with the North Coast District includes workshop facilitation, supervision, and oversight of District grants and a member of the District's leadership team. Duties as pastor require teaching through word and deeds. The church has increased its footprint in the community responding to needs best addressed by programs like the Ohio Benefit Bank, Community Dinners, The Safe Haven and Kids Café. Conner holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Master in Management in addition to her Master in Divinity. She serves on several nonprofit boards, has professional memberships and she volunteers at Playhouse Square and Severance Hall. She also established a scholarship fund that provides small stipends for adult learners seeking higher education. She is married to Mr. Bonnie Conner; the mother of two sons - Sean (Tucker, Georgia) and Jason (Charlotte, North Carolina). She has a grandson, Eric (Jason) who lives in Michigan.
