Youthlinc will be sending two teams to Nepal this year.
The school initially requested the construction of a classroom from Youthlinc. Youthlinc agreed to this project, but as the principal started to collect construction invoices and building code requirements, the government inquired what the project was for and committed to building the classroom for the school! Due to this response from the government, the school changed their construction request for Youthlinc. They asked us to construct a retaining wall for the school. The school is located on a very steep hill that literally erodes closer and closer to the school each year. The retaining wall is a huge project that will take several years for Youthlinc to fully complete. Aaron is beyond excited to begin his fifth adventure with Youthlinc! Along with Youthlinc Aaron has also served three medical missions with My Aid For Haiti, and is a member of the Rock Rotary Club of Murray Utah. He is currently in his last year of pharmacy school at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan while working at Harmon's Pharmacy as an intern. He is active in many clubs including the Vice President of Community affairs, and Vice President of Phi Lambda Sigma Leadership Society. When he is not in school he enjoys hiking, going to movies, spending time with his family, and playing with his nieces and nephews. Hadlee writes, "I fell in love with service and with Youthlinc on my first trip. Outside of Youthlinc, Darin and Betsy have taken students to Spain, France and Ghana. Korynn Gustafson traveled with Youthlinc to Kajuki, Kenya two years ago. She took a leadership role on the vocational committee where she enjoyed teaching the women how to sew. While doing her local service at Now I Can, Korynn explored the work of physical therapy with young children with disabilities. She took that service experience and decided that she wanted to pursue being a physical therapist herself. She is looking forward to continuing her service experience this next year as an ATL.
