South African Students' Congress (Sasco) chairperson Xolani Mkhwemnte said he was walking in front of the Dromedaris residence on the campus when an older student indicated with his finger that he wanted him to come over.
"I ignored him, so he
walked over and said to me, 'Do you know me?' I said 'no'.He
then started pushing me, swearing at me and telling me he
was going to kill me.Then he
pushed me into the bushes, saying 'You are a Bushman, you belong in the bushes'," Mkhwemnte
