She has led efforts to establish state and local initiatives in the southeastern US for the National Network of Abortion Funds, managed an EC campaign in Georgia for NARAL Pro-Choice America, and served as fundraising chair on the board of Choice USA.

is frequently sought out for comment by members of both the United States and international press.
She was a consultant for the International Harm Reduction Program of the Open Society Institute working with women drug users in Russia, Ukraine and Indonesia to improve access to harm reduction programs.
