Schoenhard, FACHE, is executive vice president and chief operating officer for SSM Health Care, St. Louis.He also serves as the 2007-2008 Immediate Past-Chairman of the American College of Healthcare Executives, an international professional society of 30,000 healthcare executives who lead hospitals, healthcare systems and other healthcare organizations.
With comprehensive programs in credentialing, education, career counseling, publications and research, ACHE
works toward its goal of being the premier professional society for healthcare leaders by providing exceptional value to its members. Board certified in healthcare management and an ACHE Fellow, Mr. Schoenhard served as an ACHE Governor from 2002 to 2005.
Prior to that, he

In 2003, Governor Bob Holden of Missouri appointed Mr. Schoenhard
to the Missouri Commission on Patient Safety
...As a U.S. Navy officer, Mr. Schoenhard served in the Philippines and Vietnam as damage control officer on the destroyer tender USS Samuel Gompers.He received his master's degree with honors in healthcare administration from Washington University School of Medicine, St. Louis, and his bachelor's degree in public administration from the University of Missouri-Columbia.He
is married to Kate Schoenhard and they have a married daughter, Sarah Skinner, and a son, Tom.
