Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation: William McKee
William is Chairman of Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation, the first of the Government's new regeneration agencies.
Previously, he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the British Property Federation, Chairman of the European Property Federation and Chairman of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) Trade Association Council.
He has also been a member of the CBI President's Committee, Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Forum and CEO of the London Borough of Merton.
A town planner, traffic engineer and chartered surveyor, he has been a member of many Government review bodies, a visiting lecturer at Imperial College London and a visiting Fellow at Reading University.
A Governor and Trustee of the Rambert Dance Company
other interests include books, directing plays, music, cricket and playing golf.
In 2002 William
received the CBE for services to the property industry.
William decided to become a Governor as he feels that a hospital is a vital component in the local community and by working more closely with our Foundation Trust we can create a more sustainable community. hello let us Know.
