William Guertin is a board member of The Physicians Foundation and chair of the Site Selection Committee.
Mr. Guertin served as executive vice president of the Alameda-Contra Costa Medical Association (ACCMA) in California before he retired in 2012.
He held executive positions at the ACCMA for 41 years, and has over 45 years of experience in professional liability insurance management and medical association administration.
He currently serves as a political consultant to Medical Insurance Exchange of California, a professional liability insurance company in California.
Mr. Guertin also served as chair of the board of directors of the Medical Underwriters of California and is a past president of the American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE).
Previously, Mr. Guertin
has been affiliated with the American Medical Association, the American Red Cross Blood Bank, the California Medical Association
and various other healthcare related organizations in executive and committee member capacities.
is the recipient of numerous civic and professional awards, including Alameda County Board of Supervisors
and California Senate
awards for contributions to improving healthcare.
is also a recipient of a distinguished service award from the AAMSE
, a commendation from the California Medical Association
and the Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Medical Association
Mr. Guertin attended Long Beach State College.
