...In addition to having his own consultative experience in working with community foundations and arts organizations as head of Patterson Resources Group, Bill Epke has served in the following roles:• New York City Partnership and Chamber of Commerce (New York): As Vice President for Membership and Development, with prior service as Director of Development, Bill worked with the principal business leaders in New York to develop private sector support for public issues for six years.
• The Equitable Foundation
(New York): organized the Foundation and served as manager of the philanthropic and community relations programs of The Equitable Life Assurance Society
(now AXA/Equitable) as Director of Operations for seven years.• U.S. Department of Commerce
(Washington, D.C.): Served as a loaned executive, through the President's Commission on Executive Exchange
, to help train international Department of Commerce staff in personnel and management functions. Bill Epke is a graduate of Oberlin College and has pursued advanced studies at Union Theological Seminary and New York University.He
has also attained CLU and CFP status at the American College
in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania. His extensive personal involvement with non-profit organizations include serving as Vice Chair of the YMCA of the USA, Chair of the United Church Foundation (a major fiduciary component of the United Church of Christ) and member of the Executive Council of the (national) United Church of Christ.He is a past Chairman of the Contributions Advisory Group of New York City and a former Trustee and choir member of The Riverside Church.
