Will Lourcey lives in Fort Worth, Texas and is 13 years old. When he was 7, he saw a man on a street corner carrying a sign that read “Need A Meal.� Will wanted to help. That’s why he formed FROGS (Friends Reaching Our Goals), which to date has packed more than 200,000 meals for the hungry through the Tarrant Area Food Bank, Feeding America and FROGs Dinner Club, helped pack 60,000 backpacks with food for hungry children through the Backpacks for Kids program, and helped serve over 10,000 families through the Mobile Food Pantry.

VolunteerNow William Lourcey: Being a Doer Will Lourcey is a 13-year-old seventh grader in Fort Worth, and the founder and CEO of nonprofit FROGs - Friends Reaching Our Goals, Inc. He founded the youth led organization when he was 7 years old, after seeing a man on the street corner holding a sign that read "NEED A MEAL." Will likes to tell people "Be a doer, not a watcher. Change the world today! Will speaks at conferences, to schools and to youth groups reaching live audiences of more than 7,000 people. Through live-streaming, he has also reached 2 million youth in 100 countries. Will uses his voice to inspire and mobilize others to volunteer. Will's volunteerism with FROGs has met critical needs int he North Texas community. After learning about kids in our community living in food deserts, he designed an outreach program called FROGs Dinner Club. It's a monthly event comprised of two parts. FROGs serves a healthy, fresh catered meal to kids int he Cavile Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Fort Worth.

May 19th, 2014 Academy Award-winning actor Forest Whitaker congratulates Sarita Damaraju, 15, of Corpus Christi (center) and William Lourcey, 11, of Fort Worth (right) on being named Texas' top two youth volunteers for 2014 by The Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.
