Wayne Lynch spent over 11 years as the News Director at Northwest Cable News (NWCN) and was the founding News Director (1991) and later VP, News and Programming (1996) at NewsChannel 8, the 24/7 cable news channel serving the Washington, DC, metro area and outer suburbs.

in Baltimore, and then as News Director at WRIC-TV
(1987), the ABC station in Richmond, VA, where he
led the station to three consecutive awards as outstanding news operation.
A Pittsburgh native, he is a graduate of Kent State University and holds his M.A. in Public Communication from American University.
He has been an adjunct professor at two Washington universities - the University of Washington branch in Tacoma, and Pacific Lutheran University, teaching news, public relations and business professional writing.
Wayne is a trained suicide peer counselor and a volunteer at Seattle-based The Stability Network, an emerging national group that seeks to improve mental health understanding in the business workplace and media community.
