FAYETTEVILLE -- Wayne Clark, a retired banker from Berryville, said he is "on call" to help campaign should his first cousin, retired Army Gen.

"Whatever he wants me to do, I'll do," Wayne Clark said Monday in an interview.
"He's a real down-to-earth guy," Clark told more than 40 Democratic party faithful at a Draft Clark meeting in the Fayetteville home of Gary and Adella Gray.
Several groups wanting Clark to become a presidential candidate have sprouted across the nation in recent weeks, and a series of Draft Clark meetings were held around Arkansas on Monday night.
Similar meetings were planned in 100 or more cities across the country, organizers said Monday.
Clark, who grew up in Little Rock, is a Rhodes Scholar, a West Point graduate and a former NATO commander.The 58-year-old also is a former foreign policy analyst for CNN.
Clark has not agreed to run for president but says he is considering it.If he did, supporters think he would be a Democratic candidate.
"He is very intelligent, very compassionate.He is not a typical warrior.He thinks that if you go to war, you have failed," Wayne Clark said about his cousin.
