Longtime Planning Manager Tom Anderson, named interim CAO, would most likely welcome a 'Rocky II sequel.' I believe this duo would provide the stability and credibility so lacking during Warren Jones tenure.

Making a bad situation worse CVRD senior management, especially then Administrator Warren Jones, since fired for reasons undisclosed, failed to alert the elected officials as to the risks of not following the tried and true process choosing instead to allow the misdirected Fraser to call the tune.
Our Administrator Warren Jones is paid 200K a year, in part to keep the ship off the rocks.

The CVRD fired CEO Warren Jones and have now revealed that they wrote him a cheque for $335,000, a handsome severance designed in part to buy his silence.
This raises the question of what exactly were the reasons that brought about his dismissal, mutually agreeable or otherwise. Of course that wad will take the sting out of the departure for Mr. Jones. The amount of Mr. Jones' severance package was approximately $335,000 which Bruce Fraser Shawnigan CVRD Director, CVRD Board Chair Rob Hutchins, CVRD Director Mill Bay-Malahat Mike Walker, Former CEO Warren Jones, Secret Meeting, SIA, Tom Anderson Manager of Planning

By 2013, the top man, Warren Jones, was being paid over $200,000.
To take one example, CVRD head Warren Jones was hired from a municipality on the mainland in 2008. After a few years of rapidly increasing pay, Mr. Jones was fired in March. The CVRD won't say why, but we do know he was given a huge $335,000 publicly funded severance package.
