Ward Miller, InstructorWard came to The Northwest Mountain School after finishing his degrees in Environmental Science and Spanish from Willamette University.
Ward's study of the Spanish language and South American cultures included semesters at La Universidad de Bogota, Columbia, and La Universidad de Javeriana, Argentina.During his
time spent in South America Ward was able to climb on the highest peaks in both Argentina and Ecuador.The 2005 season will be Ward's 8th season at NMS
.Ward has been an instructor on our Ascent of Glacier Peak, Wonderland Trail, Mt. Shuksan and Rock Skills courses.
When not working for NMS Ward works as a mountain guide on Mt. Rainier and a Professional Ski Patroller at Steven's Pass.He is currently a certified Wilderness EMT.
