Walter Park is the former director of the San Francisco Mayor's Office on Disability.
He was the founding executive director of Independent Housing Services in 1981, a nonprofit agency which developed access to low-cost, accessible housing.
Involved in governmental enforcement of accessibility codes for many years, Mr. Park
helped negotiate the language of California's Title 24 and the Fair Housing Act accessibility regulations.
has conducted access training programs and written training manuals for thousands of design professionals, builders and members of the disability community.
Currently Mr. Park is the President of the San Francisco Access Appeals Commission.
