Walter A. Garchinski
Following the completion of his
senior matriculation Walter Garchinski
proceeded with teacher education training for one year at the Saskatchewan Teachers, College in Saskatoon and immediately continued with additional educational training through the University of Saskatchewan
.He currently holds Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education, and Masters of Education degrees awarded by this institution - graduating with distinction.Walter
provided services as a teacher and school principal in Duck Lake and Melfort prior to retiring in June of 2002.In that year he
was recognized as the school administrator of the year by the Saskatchewan Council of Educational Administrators
.In September 2002, following two months of retirement, he began his second career as the Human Resources Manager of Northern Steel Industries of Tisdale, Saskatchewan.He
currently continues to provide HR services for this liquid container manufacturing company, which has an employee component of 120 persons. As the HR manager of Northern Steel, Walter has been successful in recruiting skilled welders and painters from Ukraine to address the extreme shortage of skilled workers in rural Saskatchewan and specifically the shortage experienced by Northern Steel.
This involvement led him to pursue and achieve membership in the Canadian Society of Immigration Consultants
.This latest endeavor has assisted him in gaining an appreciation and understanding of the immigration process.Walter is also a member of the SINP Advisory Committee to Minister of Immigration, the Honorable Pat Atkinson.
, on the other hand, is examining options available to him whereby he
can be of greatest benefit to Saskatchewan employers and non-Canadians who wish to make our beautiful province their permanent home.
