Wally Duncan (1978) Wally came to NAU from his position as a research economist at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas.Prior to the Federal Reserve, he had spent a number of years as an infantry officer in the army serving tours of duty in Germany, South Korea, and Vietnam, and also on the faculty at West Point.In 1978, he joined the College of Business Administration at NAU as an assistant professor of economics. During his twenty-four years at NAU, Wally preferred the teaching aspects of his job, though he was fortunate enough to have his research on business cycles referred to in the Wall Street Journal, Business Week magazine, and The New York Times.In 1979, he received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from the College of Commerce and Industry at the University of Wyoming.During the past ten years, he has been a member of the Finance Advisory Committee to Arizona's Joint Legislative Budget Committee.Wally also hopes to have more time hunting and fishing.
