Gallery Director The Jameson Art Group Currently, the Gallery Director for the Jameson Art Group and for 6 years previously, the Curator for Greenhut Galleries in Portland, ME, W. Weston LaFountain has become one of the city's best known experts in the acquisition, care, display and interpretation of Maine's contemporary art. For 10 years, Mr. LaFountain served as Outreach Coordinator for the Portland Museum of Art's Education Department. In this position, he planned and implemented all adult, teacher and student programs, including ArtReach, a school/museum collaboration that brings museum objects to the classroom and students to the museum. In addition, Mr. LaFountain was a guest curator for the University of New England from 1998 through 2000, where he was also an Adjunct Professor of Art History from 1992 through 1999. Mr. LaFountain received a M.A. in Art History from San Francisco State University and a B.A. in Studio Art from Wesleyan University. He has served in many voluntary capacities - as show juror, lecturer, curator and installation technician, among other roles - for a variety of colleges and arts organizations throughout his extensive career. He is also a member of the Maine Alliance for Arts Education and the National Art Education Association.

Weston LaFountain has been the Gallery Curator for Greenhut Galleries in Portland, Maine since 2002.Previously, he was the Director of the New O'Farrell Gallery in Brunswick, Maine.He received a B.A. in Studio Art from Wesleyan University and continued his education at the Haystack School of Crafts on Deer Isle, Maine and the University of Southern Maine.In 1994, he earned his M.A. in Art History from San Francisco State University, California.Mr. LaFountain has also served as Outreach Coordinator in the Education Department at the Portland Museum of Art, Portland, Maine and Guest Curator and the University of New England, Westbrook College Campus in Portland.In addition, he has served as a juror in several Maine juried art shows. .
