Virginia StaufferGinny Stauffer earned her bachelor degree in pharmacy in 1987 and her doctor of pharmacy in 1988, both from Butler University.She completed a residency in geriatric pharmacy practice at Philadelphia College of Pharmacy and Science in 1989.After her residency, Ginny worked as a long-term care consultant pharmacist for one year.She then accepted a clinical pharmacy position specializing in geriatric medicine and psychiatry at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.Ginny practiced in this setting until joining Eli Lilly and Company in 1998 as a senior clinical research administrator.In April of 1999, Ginny became a neuroscience disease state specialist (DSS) in the Lilly U.S. affiliate with primary product responsibility for Zyprexa®.Her main responsibilities include the coordination and content development of publications, including poster presentations and manuscripts, as well as coordinating the investigator-initiated trial program publications from external investigators.The DSS interfaces with the Zyprexa Brand Team by disseminating data and presenting data when needed.Also, the DSS provides support to the field-based neuroscience medical liaisons.Ginny has been a faculty member at Butler University College of Pharmacy since 1990.During this appointment, she served as course coordinator for the geriatric therapeutics course from 1991 to 1999.Ginny also has been a board-certified pharmacotherapy specialist since 1995.
