2 BCNHS Teachers win in Singapore | Baguio City National High School
Likewise, Mrs. Vilma Ambat, a Filipino teacher of BCNHS Main, emerged as winner for the Philippines with her project entitled Mobile Learning: Anytime, Anywhere.

Mrs. Vilma C. Ambat, a teacher from the Filipino department, won the award after a rigorous selection process which included on-the-spot demo teaching and interviews conducted by a panel of judges that included Senator Loren Legarda, Associate Justice Martin S Villarama, Jr. (Supreme Court of the Philippines), Ambassador A. Selverajah (Embassy of Republic of Singapore), Leyte Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla, Congressman Lorenzo Tanada III (Deputy Speaker and Representative, 4th District of Quezon), Dr. Lydia B. Echauz (President, Far Eastern University),and Ms. Veronica Baluyut - Jimenez (Program Host, NBN - 4 and RTVM)
Mrs. Ambat joins three other BCNHS teachers, namely Constancia M. Cardenas (1986), Elena Badival (1990), Adoracion A. Julian (2000), as winners of Metrobank's annual search.

Ambat and Basingan, with two other teachers from Muntinlupa National High School and General Santos City High School, will represent the Philippines in the 6th Microsoft Asia-Pacific Regional Innovative Education Forum (RIEF) to be held in Singapore on March 9-11, 2010. Tagisan ng Talino- Shena N. Golosino with Coach Vilma Ambat The month-long celebration accentuated varieties of activities including the Tagisan ng Talino, a quiz bee organized by Mr. Leonardo Aquino; Poster Making harmonized by Ms. Beatriz Balintag; Poem Writing and Reading contest by Ms. Vilma Ambat; Ethnic Dance by Ms. Saturnina Lumitap; Jingle by Ms. Noemilyn Madeo; Interpretative Dance by Ms. Marites Osoteo, and finally a Slogan Making contest organized by Ms. Verena Viernes. The event was participated by selected third year students with lectures about the life of Rizal from Mrs. Vilma Ambat and a theatrical presentation of the "Mi Ultimo Adios" from the SPA students.

Adoniram Basingan, an English teacher and Vilma Ambat, a Filipino teacher were selected by international judges from participants from 125 countries around the world to be part of the elite group from whom the eventual winners/finalists of the contest were chosen.
On the other hand, Mrs. Ambat's entry entitled Mobile Learning: Anytime Anywhere used mobile phones and mp3 players to deliver lessons to students who missed classes due to artistic performances.
