It is Viggo Olsen's story found in his books "Daktar, Diplomat in Bangladesh" and "Daktar II" Dr. Olsen was a medical missionary that ministered in the regions of Pakistan and Bangladesh back in the late sixties, the seventies and into the eighties and nineties.
What an inspirational story that this is. Their love for God and their courage is unsurpassable in the face of danger as they continued their ministry through the war that raged around them. In my opinion, this is one of those "must read" stories for every believer. When Dr. Olsen arrived on the field, he was greeted by an American missionary family that was already there for sometime. Dr. Olsen described Jay as a great theologian and Eleanor as a genuine Christian lady in "Daktar II." Dr. Olsen records a story of a near death experience that one of Jay and Eleanor's children faced. I read the books of Dr. Olsen some twenty years ago. Their stories of faith in the books of Dr Olsen inspired me to live by faith as well.
