...Victor Obadiah is the President and CEO of TOTAL E&P New Ventures, Inc., an indirect wholly-owned subsidiary of the Franco-Belgian integrated energy company.
This Houston based affiliate is actively involved primarily in new ventures in the international arena, within the Strategy/Growth and Research group in Paris HQ, focusing only on international opportunities in exploration & production activities with U.S. based energy companies.Prior to his current assignment, he served in the Worldwide New Ventures group in Paris.He joined TOTAL in 1995 as Vice President of Business Development for its upstream operating subsidiary in the USA. Mr. Obadiah began his career in the energy industry with Conoco (now ConocoPhillips) serving in various engineering, operational and executive management positions within Conoco's worldwide organization.
career spanned industry affiliation with medium sized independent energy companies (public traded & privately held) in various senior executive management capacities. Mr. Obadiah is a member of the American Petroleum Institute (API) and The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE).He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN) and is also an Officer and Treasurer of the Association, a member of the Houston Producers Forum (HPF), the Brazil-Texas Chamber of Commerce (BRATCC), the Houston Committee on Foreign Relations (HCFR), Houston World Affairs Council (HWAC), the Advisory Board for the University of St. Thomas Center for International Studies and The Houston Forum organization. Mr. Obadiah is a graduate Petroleum Engineer from the Louisiana State University and recipient of the Fulbright Fellowship from the Institute of International Education (IIE).He is a Registered Professional Engineer in Texas.
