UMass hosts seminar on "Technologies for Urban and Community Forest Managers"
AMHERST, MA -- The UMass Extension
, USDA Forest Service
and the Northeast Center for Urban
and Community Forestry are hosting "Technologies for Urban and Community Forest Managers," Wednesday, June 12 in Marlboro, MA.
The seminar will focus on how recent advances in computer technology, satellite imagery, remote sensing, global positioning systems, geographic information systems, digital photography, and personal digital assistants can help manage public and private trees in even the smallest communities.
