Vicki has been on the faculty of the Music Center of the Northwest since 2005.
Having just completed the Music Together® teacher training seminar in August, she
is excited and eager to begin her
apprenticeship under Janice Gockel, and especially delighted to start working with children and their families.
A well known pillar of the recorder communities in Seattle and Portland, Vicki
is in demand as a teacher pretty much all over the U.S. at early music workshops and seminars.
Former music director for the Portland Recorder Society, she is currently music director for the Seattle Recorder Society, and co-director for the Recorder Orchestra of Puget Sound (ROPS).
She is the Artistic Director for the Port Townsend Early Music Workshop and the Columbia Gorge Early Music Retreat.
Vicki is also on the faculty at Cornish College of the Arts for their Artist Diploma program in early music.
Vicki Boeckman is a passionate performer of all styles of music.
career as a professional recorder player has been a highly rewarding journey which has taken her
to many exciting places such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Scotland and British Columbia.
has recorded about 15 Cds with various ensembles and loves playing a wide variety of musical styles.
has been a featured soloist with Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Medieval Women's Choir, Gallery Concerts, Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Opera, Philharmonia Northwest Orchestra
and the Skagit Symphony.
is a two-time recipient of the Recorder residency at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology
in Oregon, and a two-time recipient of the Jack Straw Artist Support Program.
