Vicki Boeckman is an active and passionate performer of all styles of music. Her career as a professional recorder player has been a highly rewarding journey which has taken her to many exciting places such as Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Austria, Italy, England, Scotland and British Columbia. She has recorded about 15 CDs with various ensembles and loves playing a wide variety of musical styles. Since settling in Seattle in 2004, Vicki has been a featured soloist with the Portland Baroque Orchestra, Portland Opera, Philharmonia Northwest Orchestra and the Skagit Symphony. She is a returning guest with the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Medieval Women's Choir led by Margriet Tindemans and the Gallery Concerts Series.

Vicki is a two-time recipient of the Recorder residency at the Sitka Center for Art and Ecology in Oregon, and a two-time recipient of the Jack Straw Artist Support Program. In great demand as a teacher of the recorder and related performance practices, Vicki coaches and teaches at workshops and seminars all over the United States and in British Columbia. She is the Artistic Director for the Port Townsend Early Music Workshop and the annual Columbia Gorge Early Music Retreat. Vicki adores teaching children as well as adults. She has been on the faculty of the Music Center of the Northwest in Seattle since 2005 as well as having established a thriving teaching studio in her home. She is also on the faculty for the Artist Diploma program at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Vicki resided in Denmark from 1981-2004. She taught at the Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen for 12 years, and at the Ishøj Municipal School of Music for 23 years. She co-founded a regional recorder orchestra for children and teenagers which continues to flourish and grow. She was also co-founder of two Danish-based ensembles, Opus 4, and Wood'N'Flutes, with whom she continues to perform every year. VICKI BOECKMAN, Music Director, ROPS Co-Director. Well known as soloist, chamber musician, and recording artist in the United States and Europe.  She taught and performed in Copenhagen from 1981 - 2004 including 12 years as a faculty member at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.  Now a resident of Seattle, Vicki has a large private studio and has been on the faculty of the Music Center of the Northwest since Feb. 2005. She teaches at workshops all over the country and has been a featured soloist with the Seattle Baroque Orchestra, Philharmonia Northwest Orchestra, Gallery Concerts, the Northwest Girl Choir, and the Medieval Women's Choir.

Vicki Boeckman is a passionate performer of all styles of music. She is the Artistic Director for the Port Townsend Early Music Workshop and the Columbia Gorge Early Music Retreat. Vicki is also on the faculty at Cornish College of the Arts for their Artist Diploma program in early music.
Vicki has been on the faculty of the Music Center of the Northwest since 2005. One of the ensembles that Vicki coached was Rockin' Recorders, co-founded in 2007 with colleague Sally Mitchell.
