Dr. Tony Dubendorf has enjoyed a 20 -year career in the Computer Sciences industry and has over 28 years of experience in the security and wireless communications industry starting with his ventures into amateur radio in the early 1970's.Tony possesses vast knowledge of the computer sciences, security, and wireless technology industries.Tony has lead the infrastructure design, implementation and security audits for several global corporations such as Nokia, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Marriott Hotels, and the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island, Bahamas.His background includes management and security consulting, business development and participation in the full range of program and project management with specific emphasis on Wireless and Information Security Technologies.
Tony's most recent position was as Managing Director - Wireless Services and member of the Chief Security Officer staff at Exodus Communications, the worlds leading Internet hosting provider.At Exodus, he established and managed the Wireless and Wireless Security Professional Services practice that spanned the globe with more than 300 specialists.While there, Tony was a guest speaker at Comdex Canada and other industry gatherings.He was also appointed as a Founding Member of the Board of Directors for the Mobile Healthcare Alliance.He was also the Keynote speaker at the CIO forum held in Boston where he was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Massachusetts Health Data Consortium due to his expertise in Wireless, Information Security and HIPAA.
Prior to joining Exodus, Tony was the Chief Technology Architect for Lucent Technologies Wireless practice.Here he worked with many global wireless communications companies and became heavily involved as voting member in the IEEE 802.11, 802.16, 802.15, and the 802.3 standards which he continues today.He worked with the design group of the Orinoco product line on both the client side and access point.This includes working on the development of Power Over Ethernet (POEt) and security enhancements.
Tony has published numerous articles and white papers in industry magazines and professional publications.He has just completed his manuscript for the "Wireless Technologies Reference Handbook" which is being published by Wiley and Sons publishing.Tony is a highly sought after resource for Technology Interviews for such publications as Computerworld Magazine, CIO Magazine, and Info Source.
Tony has also been honored by the Open Software Foundation's Open Group member's conference held at the Euro-Disney Business Solutions Center outside of Paris.They focus on Managing the Mobile Workforce and have recognized Tony as a key IT industry guru and have asked him to speak about the business imperative of mobile communications and the future of Mobile Security.
