Valerie Elliott, MGDC, has a life-long passion for protecting the environment which began in her late teens with the launch of her first book on energy conservation (1978).
She has more recently launched and directed the Victoria Values-based Business Network, conceived and coordinated the 2001 DesignCares Travelling Forum and Exhibit that has since traveled the globe and was one of 70 appointees to the BC Government providing advice on how to engage individuals to participate in climate action initiatives.
She wrote the GDC Sustainability Principles for governance and joins the AIGA, RGD, Icograda, BDG and other design organisations in developing dialogue on how to evolve our practices.
