has had a life-long passion for the environment that began at age 17 with the design and production of an elementary school book on transportation and energy conservation for Transport 2000.
Spanning several decades her
work includes establishing the first environmental committee for Rogers Cable TV (1988); launching the Victoria Values-based Business Network
(2005); and spearheading the first GDC DesignCares Forum and Exhibit
She recently became the first chair of the GDC National Sustainability Committee.

Since 2000 Elliott
has spoken about our collective responsibility towards the environment and each other at elementary schools; to professional communicators; university students; and businesses organizations.
Elliott is President of the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada-Vancouver Island Chapter; Managing and Creative Director of Victoria-based iD2 Communications Inc. (a communications firm specializing in solutions for sustainable communities); is a member of the Canadian Public Relations Society; and is a founding member of the Ethics Practitioners Assoc. of Canada, Victoria Chapter.
