As Pastor Herrell
said, "When the judge didn't take the attorney generals to task for lying to his
face, it was obvious where the judge stood and what this trial was going to be like."
...One of our first witnesses was Pastor V.S. Herrell of the Christian Separatist Church Society. He
presented the Church's translation of the New Testament, the Anointed Standard Translation (AST), discussing high points of translation and the Biblical texts of Scripture.Pastor Herrell
also presented a number of CSCS books and Bible studies, including the Christian Separatist Catechism and word studies on racial words from the original Greek. The Defense tried several times to discredit Pastor Herrell's
Biblical position, but failed at each encounter, ending up with pie in their faces. In contrast, the four MDOC chaplains were caught in lies and followed the overall posture of MDOC employee ignorance. In questioning Pastor Herrell, Defense counsel quoted Matthew 7:15, referring to "wolves in sheep's clothing" but lost her concentration and failed to ask whatever question she had planned.
Then, in closing argumenet, she
said, "Now, you remember I quoted this to Pastor Herrell
," and went on to tell the jury that Pastor Herrell
was a wolf in sheep's clothing.
