Accompanied by State Co-operative Minister Sellur K. Raju and Madurai Corporation Mayor V.V. Rajan Chellappa, he addressed the public at Munichalai from his campaign van on Thursday. Canvassing for votes for AIADMK candidate for the Madurai Lok Sabha constituency R. Gopalakrishnan, he said Chief Minister Jayalalithaa had fulfilled the promises made when she was elected to power. "For the present regime to continue its good work, you must vote for the AIADMK candidates," he said.
The Jayalalithaa-led government in Tamil Nadu was taking care of the welfare of the people who had voted the party to power. "Hence, the alliance led by Ms. Jayalalithaa, who had conceptualised 'Vision 2023', would win all the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, and she would become the Prime Minister," he said.
